Healthcare professional licensing authorities in the United Arab Emirates play a crucial role in regulating and ensuring the competency of Doctors, Nurses and healthcare professionals working in the country, there are three major authorities that regulate and oversee the quality and standards of medical services in the United Arab Emirates: the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOH), and the Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH).

In the United Arab Emirates, obtaining a healthcare professional license is a crucial step for individuals seeking to practice in the medical field. This license serves as a validation of one’s qualifications and competencies, ensuring that they meet the necessary standards set by the UAE healthcare regulatory authorities.

The process of obtaining a healthcare professional license in the UAE can vary depending on the individual’s profession and qualifications. Typically, applicants are required to submit the Dataflow verification report of their education, training, and experience, through the relevant licensing authority portal as well as pass the necessary Prometric exam or Oral assessment, and pay the required fees. Additionally, individuals may need to provide evidence of good standing from their previous or current place of practice.

Upon successful completion of the licensing process, individuals will receive their official registration/eligibility letter, allowing them to practice in their chosen profession within the UAE.

Dubai Health Authority - DHA License permits you to practice in Dubai Emirate only.
Ministry of Health & Prevention - MOH License will allow you to practice in the northern emirates of the United Arab Emirates, which is Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, and Umm al-Quwain.
Department of Health Abu Dhabi - DOH/HAAD License permits you to practice in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
